     WHAT WE DO

We work directly with private schools across all of Lebanon, providing financial assistance to students whose families are struggling to afford schooling fees.

     SOURCES OF FUNDS

50% of the funds we use to grant financial assistance to students are derived from Fattal Group companies, affiliates and business partners. 20% from Our Lady of Hope Foundation board of trustees, Fattal Family members and friends, and 30% from fundraising activities.

     OUR STORY

In the late 1980s and through its third generation of leaders, the company sensed the extent to which the consequences of the civil war were affecting Lebanon’s most important asset: the education of its children. Strongly convinced that education is what gives their country its distinctive edge, Georges, Bernard, and Khalil Fattal then at the top of Khalil Fattal & Fils SAL, founded Our Lady of Hope Foundation for Education. In fact, they believed that the educational level of its citizens is what made Lebanon survive the absurdity and hostility of wartime. On October 8, 1987, the Lebanese Ministry of Interior authorized the Fattal Foundation to contribute to the schooling fees of Lebanese children living with precarious means without discrimination when it comes to gender, race, or geographical location.
