In the absence of state reforms to deal with the dramatic economic situation in Lebanon and the alarming falloff of the education sector, our pledge to fight against school dropouts, child labor, and illiteracy is more than ever a moral duty. The battle today is even fiercer than 35 years ago when Our Lady Of Hope Foundation for Education was born in response to the consequences of civil war. We are keeping our promise made to our country and its children, and renewing our commitment to stand for education as a human right.

Over 700,000 Lebanese students are at risk of never returning to a classroom starting this year. Hundreds of girls are likely to marry young, thousands of boys are already in the streets or enduring child labor.
